Hi there! I’m Sandra, the owner of La Candle Bar & Co (formally known as S.J candles), based in Toronto, ON. I’m a mom to two amazing kids, and have two furbabies, Oso and Luna. Fun fact: I’ve been a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) for over 10 years, which explains my love for creativity and learning.

My candle journey started during the pandemic when I realized the candles I loved weren’t as safe as I thought. As a mom and pet owner, I wanted something better for my family. After over a year of research and testing, I finally created a candle I could feel good about.

At La Candle Bar & Co, we handcraft coconut soy wax candles in small batches to ensure quality and freshness. We use natural, non-toxic coconut soy wax, phthalate- and paraben-free fragrances, and eco-friendly wooden wicks for a clean, long-lasting burn. Our candles are vegan, cruelty-free, and safe for families and pets.
